Secret Weapon to Win the Battle of Life-"This Too Will Pass Soon! "

So you are going through the most difficult time of your life? You lost your parent(s) yesterday? You broke up with your partner after being in love for five years? You failed in your exam? You failed in your business? You lost your job? ____________ (fill in the blanks with your problems) Hey I am listening, I understand your pain. Please allow me to heal your pain. Trust Me Dear, repeat with me "THIS TOO WILL PASS SOON" !
Hey hey don't close this page, that will not help. Don't be mad at me thinking "Who the hell is he to understand the intensity of my problem!" I am someone who had been through the mental condition you are in, thought life would end at that point, thought only way was to suicide, but came out of it with the help of this belief "This Too Will Pass Soon" But how could I do that or how can you do that now? Let me give you some ways-

1. By Accepting What is Inevitable: If you are going through some challenges which is inevitable, accept it. Like death of parents, physical illness, accidents. And have faith that you can still live your best life.

You can't bring back your parents, but what you can, is do something which would have made your parents proud. They are watching you from the star, do you want them to see you sad like this? I bet no! Cheer up my friend.

Same for physical illness or accidents. You can't change what already happened to you. But what you are going to do with your future is completely in your hand.

2. Knowing Other People had been through All These: Ask yourself "Am I the only one who has gone through this pain?" I bet no. There are many people who had gone through similar pain or worse, but didn't give up on life. And let me give you name of all those people who lost their parents from the day they was born, but still they didn't gave up and lived their best life, wanna have some name? Julias Caesar, Leo TolstoyJohn KeatsNelson Mandela, Steve Jobs,Aristotle, Bill ClintonMarylin MonroeWilliam Wordsworth Read More

If you are suffering from some physical illness, have faith that you will recover soon. Read this to see how many people with some disorder made mark to the society.

And if you think you can't never fulfil your dreams because you had an accidents, you have never heard of Janine Shepherd (Follow Her on Twitter) and Morris Goodman
Janine's story reads like the plot of a Hollywood movie. A champion cross country skier in training for the Winter Olympics, her life was irrevocably altered when she was run over by a truck during a training bicycle ride to the Blue Mountains. Her neck and back were broken in six places, and her right arm, collarbone and five ribs fractured. Her right leg had been ripped open; she had sustained head injuries and massive internal injuries. She had severe lacerations to her abdominal area and had lost five litres of blood. The bleeding alone was enough to kill her ...more
His injuries were horrific. Morris’ neck was broken in two places, his diaphragm was destroyed, and he couldn’t breathe. His swallowing reflex was destroyed, and he couldn’t eat or drink.
If they could survived the pain, why can't you. Trust me you can my friend.

3. Trusting "Whatever Happens, Happens for Good": Sometimes unexpected happens in our life. Like Break up with your partner, failure in your initiative. And we start fighting with the situation. And become more and more depressed. Wait! Don't fight. Trust me I have encountered many unexpected situations in my life. At that moment I thought with much pain "Why the hell this is all happening to me" Thought myself as the most unlucky person in the universe. Blamed God a lot for giving me so much pain. But strangely after some time, I thanked God for the same incident! Because time made me realise, either that situation opened a new better opportunity for me, or I learned a great lesson from that experience.

So next time you encounter something unexpected, accept it with a smile, having trust in God/universe, wait for something better coming or learn the lesson.

My friend always remember, good times and bad times both are inevitable and necessary parts of our life. If there was no darkness, how could we give value to light? If we didn't knew what it feels to be sad, how can we cherish our happy moments? One of the greatest lesson of our life, which sometimes we refuse to learn is Neither Good Times nor Bad Times last too long. It's exactly same like Day and Night. We should learn to accept it. In Good times, live your life fullest, be grateful to God. And in bad times? Just have faith and wait for the new rays of hope.

How to Fight Your Fear

Are you afraid of ghosts? Nah! I know there are worse fear than crazy, dirty looking ghosts of Hollywood movies. And as I am not ghostbuster I will help you to fight fears other than ghost.
So what are you afraid of? Death? Public Speaking? Big Dreams? Failure? talking to strangers? Talking to opposite sex?
In last three years, while working on Human Resource Empowerment, I have seen thousands and thousands  people not living their best life only due to their fears. But let me expose the true meaning of this greatest villain of our life FEAR -

F-False
E-Evidence
A-Appearing
R-Real

I have read this in some book, and from my own experience I know how true it is. Many of our fears are nothing but just the creation of our own mind, which has no real existence. So to fight your fear you have to work on your own mind.

Many ask me "How can you give such wonderful presentation Souravji? I got scared on stage, seeing so many people. I am really afraid of public speaking." I ask them in return "Who said that I am not afraid of Public Speaking? Only difference between you and me is you avoid speaking on stage to avoid your fear, I speak regularly on stage to face my fear"

And you know what when you don't run away from your fear, rather face it with a smile on your face and courage in your heart, your fear become scared and run away.

Worth mentioning a stunning advertisement of Mountain Dew where there is a statement like this "They are lying who say they don't have fear, everybody has their fear. But don't be afraid of your fear. Go beyond your fear. Because beyond your greatest fear, lies your greatest victory." Wow! Come on FEAR, I will punch on your face.

Let me tell you very clearly, one and only cure to fear is ACTIVITY! Do what you are afraid of. I know it will not be very comfortable. But it's worth doing. Throw away burden of your fear today.

Now share with our readers, how are you winning over your fear. Or any suggestion from your side to win the battle against fear.

5 Ways to Break-up with Stress

Stress is like a partner to many of us, who is always with us, making our lives miserable. But for some reason we are unable to Break-up with it. And you know? Stress is like a slow poison. It will kill your health, your dreams, your productivity very slowly. So let me give you five suggestions from my experience to avoid getting stressed.

1. Know Your Priorities:
Most of the times we get stressed because we try to do everything. Accept that it's not possible. So please write down your priorities, focusing on your dreams and values. And be strict about it. Learn to say NO to less important things to say YES to more important things in your life.

2. Finish What You Start:
Another very common cause of stress is heap of unfinished projects. Lot's of SMS and Emails to reply, lots of unfinished blog posts (which you left to reply your tweet), piles of magazines and books left half-read (as you started reading another one). As the list grows, so does your stress. So make it a habit from today, to finish what you start. If something can't be done immediately keep it noted under DoItLater category.

3. Simplify Your Life:
Wait! I am not going to advice you to be Gandhiji, to wear just loincloth. Just think for a moment, which complexity of your life makes you stressed? How do you feel when your more than one mobiles start ringing simultaneously, or all of your inboxes (as you have subscribed to every Email provider available)are flooded with mails, or you surf through 10-15 Social Networking Sites you use? If you simplify these aspects, you will feel much better. Some quick steps:

  • Use Single Mobile
  • Use only one Email Id (My Recommendation: Gmail)
  • Use one/two Social Networking Site (My Recommendation: Twitter, Facebook)
  • Have one Girlfriend/boyfriend (Lol! Otherwise it will make your life most complex)
4. Learn to Relax:
When people feel stressed, what they do is to dive into the pending works, and gets  more stressed within a few minutes. So whenever you feel stressed, stop! and RELAX! Nothing productive can be done with a troubled mind. How to Relax? Well you should find your own techniques, let me give you some suggestions:
  • Listen to your favourite music. ( I like listening to Enya, Celtic WomenGregorian Chants
  • Have a walk (best if you can walk in the nature)
  • Watch comedy movies (like Charlie Chaplin, Mr. Bean, Tom & Jerry)
  • Do what you love (Like painting, playing games)
  • Spend time with your friends and family.
5. Remind Yourself "AALLL IZZZ WELLL!" :
People get stressed because they worry too much. My suggestion is to Stop Worrying and Start Living(as the title of the book by Dale Carnegie suggests) . As Rancho (the lead character in the bollywood movie "3 Idiots" ) says "Whenever you are in difficult situations, facing problems keep your hand on your heart and say AALLL IZZZ WELLL (All is Well). This may not solve your problem, but it will give you strength to look for the solution"

So wish you all a stress-free life. I will be coming up many more ideas on how to deal with the stress. Don't forget to subscribe to my posts through Email or RSS or you can follow my blog through Google Friendconnect.

Be an Asking Expert!

Yesterday I went to my computer vendor to ask him to install Windows 7 in my Laptop. But he didn't have it. (I live in a small town, where many people still unaware of even vista) I was ready to return, and he asked me "Hey Sourav! Downloaded the Driver?" I replied "Yes" He asked "Can you give me?" "Definitely!" He took the Dell Inspiron 1440 driver in his Pen Drive and I was ready to pack my Laptop and he asked "Will you want to use a keypad guard, because it seems your keypads got little dirty? It costs just Rs 100! " Guess what was my answer? "Why not!" But why am I telling this to you all or why the hell I bolded the word "asked"
To tell you the importance of ASKING!!! This person asked me- that's why got the new driver, asked me-- that's why could sold the keypad guard! Whatever profession you are in, BE AN ASKING EXPERT.

Wait! I am not finished yet! Exercise your asking skill, and you can enjoy your personal life better too! Let me tell you another incident. I was watching a movie in a theatre, and all the seats in the Deluxe Section was empty. I thought that how about shifting to that section, but thought "That's not possible, they will not allow" Suddenly  the Guy sitting beside me with his girlfriend, stood up and went to the watch person and asked him whether they can shift to the Deluxe section (don't ask me why :p), and guess what? He permitted!

Another incident. I had two friends Ram and Shyam(names changed, can't take the risk) They both loved the same girl -Sita. I knew about it, but they didn't know. Sita also loved Ram. But nobody had ever expressed their feeling to each other. Sita waited for Ram to propose her, Ram waited for Sita to propose him. But at the last day of college Shyam proposed to Sita and guess what? She said YES!!!

And the last incident which changed the way I used to use Internet. When I first started using twitter, one day I found the profile of Janine Shepherd
doodle.png on Aviary
She is an Author, a movie had been made on her Life. She is an real life star. And at that time I was going through major challenges in my personal and Professional Life. And there was nobody from whom I could take expert advice. I knew in no way she was going to reply me, she is such a busy and famous person. But you know what I did? I asked her! I asked her for her help through email. And she replied me! I was surprised, happy, inspired everything. That day changed my life. I shifted my focus from my problems to helping others overcoming their problems. And when today when I am living the life I always wanted to live, it could have been possible because I asked!

Let me conclude the importance of asking with this Powerful Podcast of Robin Sharma. Get Brilliant at Asking.

What My Mom don't know about Dreaming Big

When I first started teaching Personal Growth, I used to arrange the classes at my home. One day I was teaching my students about the importance of dreaming big, as usual my mom eavesdropped, and told me furiously after the class "Babai (my nick-name) do you know how much wrong teaching you are giving to others? One should never dream big. Haven't you seen that a plate breaks into more number of pieces when fall from greater hight? Same is here. If you dream big, but fail to achieve it, it will be more painful"

For a moment I was stuck, but a moment later I smiled and brought a rubber ball and dropped it from little height - it bounced back little. Then I dropped the ball from higher position, it bounced back more. The higher I took the ball and dropped it bounced back higher!

Then I told my mother -
Whether we will be broken into pieces or bounce back again, if we fail to achieve our big dreams; depends on what material we are made of - rubber or glass!
Guess what, she hugged me and told me that she had never thought it like that.

My suggestion to all of you- Dare to Dream Big, never ever be afraid of failure. It's a necessary companion in the Journey to success. Accept it, learn from it and fight back once again to touch your biggest dreams.

The Manager's Cheat Sheet: 101 Common-Sense Rules for Leaders

Management is all about connecting with the people on your team. So how do you effectively manage a team? With common knowledge, of course. These are a few back-to-basics rules that will help you develop management skills that really matter.

Body Language

Like it or not, your body speaks volumes, even when you are silent. Here's how to express an attitude that's appropriate for a leader.

1. Stand tall. Keeping your shoulders back and holding yourself up to your full height will give you an air of confidence.

2. Take your hands out of your pockets.Putting your hands in your pockets is often seen as a sign that you have something to hide.

Sometimes putting one hand in pocket looks good.
3. Stand with your arms crossed behind your back. This will help you adjust your posture, and it leaves your hands in a position that is open and not intimidating.

4. Make eye contact. Always look directly into the eyes of the people you are speaking with. This shows you're interested and also gives you a sense of confidence.

5. Sit up straight. Even if you're at an 8 a.m. meeting and feeling tired, it's important to sit up straight in your chair. Slouching makes you look disinterested and can give off an unwanted air of laziness.

6. Face the person you're talking to. This shows you are interested and engaged in the conversation.

When you are giving any presentation face every audience not a particular one or a fixed group.
7. Shake hands firmly. For many, a handshake is a reflection of the person you're shaking hands with. You don't want to come across as unsure or overbearing, so make sure yours is professional and confident.

Read somewhere, may be in Allan Pease's book it's a good practice to mirror ((i.e. giving same amount ) other's pressure while shaking hands.
8. Always smile. Smiles are contagious and will make others feel positive when you're around.

9. Look your best. You don't have to be model perfect every day, but you should dress appropriately and neatly. Clothes can have a big impact on the way you're perceived.

10. Walk confidently. Keep your head up and take even strides.

Meeting Deadlines

No one will be happy if your team has to rush around at the last minute to complete a project. Follow these tips to make deadlines less stressful for everyone.

11. Only promise what you can realistically deliver. Don't create deadlines that you know you can't meet. By only promising what you know you can do, you'll be able to finish on time.

12. Set clear goals. Once you know what you need to accomplish, it helps to know how and when you want to do it. Put your goals down on paper and make sure everyone on your team gets a copy.

Your Goals should be SMART. Specific Measurable Achievable Realistic Time-bound
13. Organize a team. Many of your employees will have unique strengths and training that can make them great assets to certain projects. Pick a team that has the right skills to carry out the job.

14. Delegate tasks. Spread work among your employees in a way that doesn't leave anyone overburdened while also allowing the project work smoothly.

15. Create milestones. Creating milestones for you and your team will help you keep track of your progress and also give you a sense of accomplishment as you reach each milestone.

16. Keep communication open. Keeping everyone in touch with the status of the project is key to making sure it's completed on time.

17. Do it right the first time. Planning ahead will help prevent you from delivering a substandard product. Having to redo something for a client costs money, and, more than likely, future business opportunities.

18. Stay organized. Staying organized will help keep you from wasting time chasing down important documents and information.

19. Make sure expectations are clear. Be sure that each member of your team knows what their specific responsibilities are. This will save time and prevent tasks from being overlooked.

20. Create a plan. Compile your goals and milestones into a comprehensive plan for attacking any project you are given. This way, you can make sure you're staying on schedule and that all of your employees will be clear about how and when things should be done.

Getting Along with Employees

A happy office is a productive one. Everyone will be more cheerful if you follow these simple rules.

21. Don't make your employees come in on days they're normally not scheduled to work or call them while they're on vacation. A surefire way to make employees resent you is to invade their personal time for nonpressing work. Unless you have something that absolutely has to be done, let time away from work stay that way.

Don't be on the hate-list of your employee. Then they will never listen to you.
22. Don't play favorites. Playing favorites can bias your judgment and impair your leadership abilities. Treat your employees equally.

23. Give credit when it's due. Don't take credit for your employees' ideas or hog their limelight. This action not only fosters resentment but also makes you seem untrustworthy.

24. Don't micromanage. While it's fine to keep up with what your employees are working on, don't constantly look over their shoulders.

25. Never discuss employee matters with their co-workers. This kind of gossip always gets back to the person and will make you look unprofessional.

26. Don't interfere with employees' work. If your employees are getting work done, don't stress about how it gets done. Even if it's not being done they way you'd do it, it's best to let employees use their best judgment.

27. Don't push unreasonable deadlines. You don't want to spend all of your time at the office, and neither do your employees.

28. Keep your promises. Barring some catastrophic event, you should always keep promises you make to employees, especially about pay and benefits.

29. Keep work about work. Don't require employees to run your personal errands. Take care of your own personal business or hire an assistant.

30. Reward hard work. Make sure your employees feel valued for the work that they do. Employees will be more willing to put in extra effort if they know it's noted and appreciated.

31. Provide motivation. Sometimes employees need a morale boost. Provide them with encouragement to get a project rolling.

Manage Yourself

Being a good manager isn't just about what you can encourage other people to do, it's also about managing your own performance.

32. Be accessible. Don't hole up in your office all day — come out and visit with your employees. Let them know that they can always come to you with problems and concerns.

33. Be open to constructive criticism. It may not always be what you want to hear, but listening to constructive criticism gives you the chance to learn and grow from your mistakes.

34. Accept responsibility. Part of being the boss is accepting responsibility for the mistakes of all that you manage, not just your own.

35. Know there's always room for improvement. No matter how good you think you are, your job can always be done better. Always be willing to learn.

36. Improve your skills. Learning is a lifelong process. You're never too old to take a class or ask a co-worker to help you improve your knowledge.

37. Explain things simply. Don't use big words or technical jargon just to sound smart and impress others. Your employees will understand and perform better if you explain simply and clearly what you need.

38. Instruct rather than order. You may be the boss, but you don't have to be bossy. You'll have more success if your requests are more tactfully delivered.

39. Include your staff in your plans. Don't make your work top secret; let your employees know what's going on and how they are expected to contribute.

40. Know your subordinates' jobs. You don't want to be caught with inferior job knowledge.

41. Be flexible. It's fine to be firm in what you expect, but allow for flexibility in how it gets done.

42. Get regular feedback. Your employees and superiors can give you valuable feedback on how to improve your performance. Use this to your advantage.

43. Know your limitations. You can't be everywhere doing everything all at once. Know the limits of your time and abilities and say no to things you know you can't do.

Boosting Productivity

Getting the most out of your day can be difficult with a busy schedule, but you can use these tips to help you maximize your time in order to be better available to employees.

44. Get the most out of meetings. Be organized and prepared for meetings to increase effectiveness and time savings.

45. Focus your energy on things that matter. Don't let trivial tasks take time away from things that are really important.

46. Identify your time-stealers. Everyone has little things that detract their attention and make them lose focus. Figure out what these are and work to eliminate them, if only for a few hours a day.

47. Be punctual. Being on time is a big deal. Never keep people waiting for appointments or meetings if you can help it.

48. Respond to your correspondence within a reasonable amount of time. You don't have to bechained to your inbox, but make sure you respond to emails within a few hours whenever possible.

49. Do only what is necessary. There are times when going above and beyond works, but doing so on a daily basis can derail your progress on more important issues. Get the key things done first, then see if you have time for additional things.

50. Stick to schedules and routines. While they may not be the most exciting things, schedules and routines can help streamline and improve your productivity.

51. Organize and manage your schedule. Use any tools and utilities you have at your disposal to prioritize your day and keep track of what you need to get done.

52. Plan more than you think you can do. While this may sound stressful, it can actually be a great motivator. If you manage to get everything done, you'll enjoy a great sense of achievement.

53. Get to work early on occasion. Sometimes an uninterrupted half hour in an unoccupied office can help you get key things done or allow you to plan your day before there are any distractions to slow you down.

54. Know that sometimes stress is good. While too much of anything, especially stress, can be bad, sometimes a little stress can be the motivation to get you moving, allowing you to get more done.

55. Do your least favorite tasks first. Get your most tedious and least desirable tasks out of the way earlier in the day. After that, everything else will be a breeze.

Managing Finances and Resources

Whether you're a business owner or a manager, staying on top of tangible items is vital to success. These tips can help you keep track.

56. Set up a realistic budget. While it's good to be optimistic, don't plan for more spending than you know you can afford. Make sure you plan for emergencies and contingencies as well.

57. Save costs where they matter the most. Don't just pinch pennies for the present. Make sure your savings will pay off in the long run. Compromising on quality might cost you later on in repairs and replacements.

58. Spend only when it's necessary. Don't spend if you don't need to. Every bit you save goes toward your profit.

59. Find alternative sources of finance. Sometimes even successful businesses need a little help. Business loans and investors can help you through leaner times.

60. Stay true to your contracts. Not only will you gain the respect of your clients, you'll also avoid legal battles that can be a serious financial drain.

61. Make sure employees are well compensated. Employees deserve to be rewarded for hard work. Make sure yours are well compensated for their time and they'll be more productive and happier to come to work.

62. Learn to do more with less. Quality is much more important than quantity, so make what you have count.

63. Assign equipment wisely. While it might be nice for every employee to have a PDA, budgets often don't allow for such conveniences. Make sure the employees that need tools the most have access to them.

64. Invest in solid technology. This doesn't always mean the latest technology, but what your office needs to do work effectively.

65. Update when necessary. Using obsolete equipment and programs can really slow you down. Update when it makes sense so you won't get left behind by competitors.

66. Don't be wasteful. Every sheet of paper, paper clip and pen is a cost on your budget. Use materials wisely and don't waste them out of haste or carelessness.

Communicating with Clients

Whether you're a business owner or a manager carrying out a project, one thing is always the same: The client is dominant voice in decision-making. Learn to communicate with them effectively and you'll set a good example for the people you supervise.

67. Remember that the customer is the boss. At the end of the day, your job is to make the customer happy. Act accordingly.

68. Differentiate your products. Don't get lost in a sea of products and services like yours. Make sure you stand out from your competitors.

69. Retain customers as much as you recruit new ones. While you always want to bring in new business, it's very important to maintain relationships with loyal customers.

70. Provide effective channels of communication. Make sure your clients can contact you easily and quickly if they have a problem, concern or question. They can also provide a valuable source of feedback.

71. Maintain customer data. Use this data to make your customers feel special by remembering occasions like birthdays and anniversaries. It's also helpful for keeping track of purchasing preferences.

72. Segment your customers. Not all customers are alike. Divide your customers into groups that allow you to provide attention and services that meet each customer's unique needs.

73. Provide effective after-sales services. Don't let contact fall off after the work is complete. Make sure your client stays happy.

74. Listen attentively. Pay attention to exactly what clients are asking for to help you better meet their needs.

75. Don't be afraid to say you don't know. It's OK not to know the answer to every question. It's better to say you don't know and get back to a customer than to try to bluff your way through a conversation and have to backtrack later.

Keep Up with Change

There is no way to stop the world from changing, so follow these tips to keep up and ahead of the game.

76. Don't fight change. You can't stop markets, trends and technology from changing, so learn to go with the flow.

77. Adopt a predictive managerial style. Don't wait for things to happen to make a move. Anticipate problems and provide contingency plans.

78. Test your contingency plans. Waiting for disaster to strike is a dangerous way to find out if youremergency plans will hold. Test them out from time to time to fine-tune them and make sure they're still relevant.

79. Identify the positives. Even the most negative changes can have positive aspects to them. Being able to identify and maximize them can help make adapting less painful.

80. Be quick to adapt. Learn to adapt to changing situations quickly and be able to change plans on the spur of the moment if the situation requires it.

81. Stay tuned to external factors. Your business is affected in many ways by outside factors. Keep abreast of these so you can anticipate any sudden market changes that would affect how you need to manage.

82. Put in place a Research and Development plan. Encourage innovation and creativity to stay ahead of the demand for newer and better products and services.

83. Keep an eye on the competition. Don't let the competition get the best of you. Keep up-to-date with what they're doing and use it to your advantage in managing your business.

Resolving Problems

Whether problems are internal or external, they can make your management duties a nightmare if you don't handle them correctly. Here's how to stay on top of them.

84. Stand up for employees. If other departments or managers are bearing down hard on your employees, stand up for them.

85. Fix what's broken. Don't waste time placing blame. Take care of fixing the problem before dealing with any possible repercussions.

86. Manage and control your emotions. Don't let anger or frustration affect your problem resolution. If you are emotionally invested in a situation, cool down before discussing it or bring in an outside mediator.

87. Learn when to step in. Some problems might resolve themselves if you just let them be, but you need to be aware of times where you'll need to step in and take control of a situation.

88. Take the blame. If you've made a mistake, fess up. It'll give you more time to work on fixing the problem instead of talking your way out of taking the rap.

89. Get the facts first. Before you pass judgment on a situation, make sure you have the whole story. Listen to employees and refrain from questioning anyone's integrity without first ensuring that you've gathered all the data.

90. Rise above the crisis. Learn to separate yourself from the problem and rise above the fray. You'll be able to think more clearly and make a better decision on how to rectify the issue.

91. Don't ignore problems. A small problem can easily snowball and become something much more difficult to fix.

92. Try to depersonalize problems. Let employees know that the problem isn't with them but with their actions. Don't make it personal.

Go Above and Beyond

Managing people isn't just about getting the job done. To truly be a great leader, sometimes you need to go above and beyond what the job calls for.

93. Lead by example. You can talk until you're blue in the face, but the best way to get a point across is to be the model to emulate. Let employees follow your lead.

94. Get your hands dirty. Sometimes you need to show your employees that no one's above doing unattractive tasks.

95. Make a difference to your employees. Don't just be a generic manager — stand out as a leader and role model for your employees.

96. Gain your employees' trust and respect. You'll have a much easier time managing employees when they respect your rules and boundaries and trust your leadership.

97. Be empathetic to personal problems. Whether it should or not, what happens outside of work can have a big affect on the quality of work produced. Be sensitive if employees have personal issues that keep them from concentrating on work.

98. Be unique as a manager. Every position demands something different and you should be proud to be adept at your particular role rather than trying to emulate other managers.

99. Remember that ethics matter above all. Be honest and reliable in all of your business and personal relationships.

100. Be on the lookout for new ideas. You never know where your next great inspiration will come from.

101. Get to know your employees. Learn more than just their names. Get to know your employees' family backgrounds, likes and dislikes. Doing so will make you more personable.

Staying Silent You may Loose the Battle but will win the war

Like every person (I am not talking about Lunatics or Psychos) you and me also try to avoid arguments as much as  possible. But we fail to do it most of the time. And these arguments plays a very vital role in creating distance between two person in any relationship.

Just this afternoon I was having a one-to-one phone call with one of my student, when I was telling him the importance of Dreaming Big, my mom was eavesdropping behind the doors. And she started shouting "Stop misleading people, you will go to hell with their curse" (My Mom is far away from the concept of Personal Growth, and compromising is the best way to live according to her). Now my immediate reaction was to give my mom a solid reply and take a short five minute followup session of her, where she would argue with me for the first four minutes and will agree to me at the last minute. And to add my irritation she would say "When you teach other how to lead a good life, why you become irritated so easily?" or the argument might take up the rest of the day destroying my peace of mind and also the quality of dinner made by mom.

So I kept silent!

And everything is fantastic. Mom has gone to nap, when she will woke up, she will completely forget the topic. And I am writing this blog post in peace. And there will be no bad effect on the Dinner too! Lol!

So my suggestion is to be an argument-stopper not an argument-starter.

With Great Power comes Great Responsibility

Can you remember who said these words? Uncle of Peter Parker(Spider Man)! And really true leadership is understanding this responsibility.

Now you may think, 'That's okay, as I don't have any great power, I don't have to care about any great responsibility.' But my friends, who said that You don't have any great power?

Believe me, in last few years, I have met thousands of people from different backgrounds, but I have never met a single one who didn't have any special power to share with the world or to help others.

No I am not saying, our world is hidden with imaginary superheroes like X-Men or something, I am not saying the people I met could crawl on wall, fly in the sky, breath out fire or had any magic wand...I am saying some of them had very good communication skill, some of them had unusual capability of networking with others, some of them had awesome writing, singing, dancing skill, atleast many had a beautiful gift of smile.

Who said that only the imaginary characters with strange costumes are called superheroes? The person who discontinued his college to share his vision of modern computing - Steve Jobs - founder of Apple, isn't he a superhero? A person with virtually no power, no weapons brough freedom to a country - Gandhiji-isn't he a superhero? Becoming an author inspite of being deaf and blind, shouldn't Helen Keller deserved to be called a superhero? The list doesn't end here - Mozart, greatest composer of the world was deaf, Dhirubhai Ambani gave birth to Reliance Industries though he was from a very poor background.

What I am trying to say is there is some unique power within each of us, our first responsibility is to recognise it, and then to use it not just for the benefit of ourselves but for benefit of the whole mankind.

I can remember the words of Principal Maharaj Swami Suparnanandaji, Ramakrishna Mission Residential College, Narendrapur
You know Sourav, biggest challenge in our society is that people aren't ready to share with others, what they are privileged of having. Rich are not ready to share wealth(or knowledge of how to be wealthy) with the poor, Healthy people aren't interested in helping others to be healthy, students who are good in academics are not ready to help their classmates who are weak, wise are not ready to share their wisdom with others. This world will be a far wonderful place to live in when everybody understand the responsibility of sharing their gifts with others.
From that day I started thinking deep, what is my gift, my power? And I found my power is
My words-with which I can inspire others to live a meaningful life. And I was very much aware of my responsibility also, that's why I chose to be an Entrepreneur, helping people to live their best life!

As Robin Sharma says
"Everybody is a Leader, if you breath oxygen, you are a leader, and you have some responsibility to perform at its best in whatever you do"

So find your power, start helping others with that. Don't run from this responsibility. Believe me being responsible with your power will bring some meaning to your life. It will bring excitement to wake up every morning, and you can go to sleep each night with peace knowing You are making some difference!

Burn all the Bridges Behind - the idea that changed my Life!

If there is only one idea which had been the 'Turning Point' of my Life, that would be this Burn all the Bridges Behind!
I first read these words in Napoleon Hill's revolutionary book Think and Grow Rich (Chapter 1: Desire)

There was a story (True Story) of Edwin C. Barnes, who had a burning desire to become a business associate of the great Thomas Alva Edison. Hey look, he wanted to work with Edison not for him! But neither did he knew Mr. Edison that time, nor did he had his rail road fare to Orange, New Jersey, where Mr. Edison's lab was located. But one thing he had - his burning desire!  He didn't get his partnership with Mr. Edison in his first meeting, he started working in his office. But neither he got satisfied with it, nor he looked for other option, he was determined to remain steady until he got that which he was seeking!
After a few years his desire became reality when he successfully marketed Edison Dictating Machine (which other associates of Edison didn't believed can be sold), and became a business associate of Mr. Edison.
Let me share few lines from the book, which touched me deep within myself -
When he went to orange, he didn't say to himself, 'I will try to induce Edison to give me a job of some sort.' He said, 'I will see Edison and put him on notice that I have come to go into business with him' He did not say, 'I will work there for a few months and if I get no encouragement, I will quit and get a job somewhere else' He did say, 'I will start anywhere, I will do anything Edison tells me to do, but before I am through, I will be his associate'       He did not say, 'I will keep my eyes open for another opportunity in case I fail to get what I want in Edison organization.' He said, 'There is but ONE thing in this world that I am determined to have, and that is a business association with Thomas A. Edison, I will burn all the bridges behind me and stake my ENTIRE FUTURE on my ability to get what I  want'
He left himself no possible way of retreat. he had to win or perish.

Wow! After 2 years of reading these lines for the first time, I still can feel the blood rushing in vein when I am writing these lines. Let me share another story from the book -
Once upon a time a great warrior sailed to the enemy's country with his soldiers loaded on the boat. But to his utter surprise, he found that enemy soldiers are far greater in number. What he did then? He gave order to burn all their boats and addressing his troops before the first battle, he said, 'You see the boats going up in smoke. That means that we cannot leave these shores alive unless we win!We win or we perish! Guess what? They won.

And if you study lives of all great successful person from any field of life, you will find similar story. They never made a back-up plan or plan B, they were determined to get what they wanted out of their life.

And how this idea changed my life? Two years back when I was in my second year of Engineering, I was feeling totally bored, I never liked Engineering, all I wanted to do in my life was to inspire people to live their best life. I wanted to visit new places, meet new people and learn from the nature. I wanted to be free from the routine. I wanted to share my realization of life through Speech, books or blogs. But I was stuck between the tough schedule of my Engineering and preparation of stereotype Higher study or Campus Placement Job. I can still remember those days, when I couldn't breath within the boundaries of my class, I wanted to ran out of the class and do whatever I liked. But couldn't dared. I was also caught up with orthodox notion - get good marks, get a good job and live happily ever after. Biggest lie we are taught from our childhood. Nobody can be happy not following his dreams. Ask me - inspite of having superb  academic background in Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission or Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur I was never happy, I always felt something is missing in my life. I didn't felt excitement to wake up everyday. Thank God, I came to know about eBIZ.com Pvt. Ltd. where thousands of youth are following their dreams. They showed me the path, helped me to dare. I started reading books on Personal Growth, recommended from the leaders of eBIZ.com Pvt. Ltd. I started to inspire people to live their best life. I started visiting different parts of my country sharing with others what I was learning, I started  sharing through blogs. But I couldn't give it all the time I wanted to give because of my classes. Then one day I read those words in Think and Grow Rich, and I decided enough is enough! And I only did what I loved, I gave more time reading books on personal growth than my Electronics textbooks, I started attending a few classes  just to clear my semester, I was the first person in my college to refuse to sit for campusing, I started taking Entrepreneurship as my fulltime career. At that time I was not earning much, but I didn't thought 'Let's take a Job, if I fail in Entrepreneurship,I will have a option' I told myself 'Either I will live doing what I love, or I prefer to die starving'

And believe me rest is history! Living life at its best today...but journey is not over, need to touch many more lives...This is Just a Beginning!

If you are still not following your dream, wake up today. At the end of the life, you have to answer to nobody but you. And remember if you are not happy, you can't keep anybody happy.

Love yourself first, and then others...keep your spark alive...that's what Chetan Bhagat want to say to College Students

Inaugural Speech for the new batch at the Symbiosis
By Chetan Bhagat
Good Morning everyone and thank you for giving me this chance to speak to you. This day is about you. You, who have come to this college, leaving the comfort of your homes (or in some cases discomfort), to become something in your life. I am sure you are excited. There are few days in human life when one is truly elated. The first day in college is one of them. When you were getting ready today, you felt a tingling in your stomach. What would the auditorium be like, what would the teachers be like, who are my new classmates - there is so much to be curious about. I call this excitement, the spark within you that makes you feel truly alive today. Today I am going to talk about keeping the spark shining. Or to put it another way, how to be happy most, if not all the time.
Where do these sparks start? I think we are born with them. My 3-year old twin boys have a million sparks. A little Spiderman toy can make them jump on the bed. They get thrills from creaky swings in the park. A story from daddy gets them excited. They do a daily countdown for birthday party – several months in advance – just for the day they will cut their own birthday cake.

I see students like you, and I still see some sparks. But when I see older people, the spark is difficult to find. That means as we age, the spark fades. People whose spark has faded too much are dull, dejected, aimless and bitter. Remember Kareena in the first half of Jab We Met vs the second half? That is what happens when the spark is lost. So how to save the spark?
Imagine the spark to be a lamp's flame. The first aspect is nurturing - to give your spark the fuel, continuously. The second is to guard against storms.

Nicely said Chetan. This is the reason India is still a developing country. Here potential diamonds are treated as glass. Though theoretically 30% of Indian population is youth, but really speaking majority of Indian Population is being OLD today. I have read somewhere  "Old is he who doesn't feel the excitement after waking up every morning" It's very painful to see youths are also loosing their spark to be a part of Rat Race.                               - Sourav
To nurture, always have goals. It is human nature to strive, improve and achieve full potential. In fact, that is success. It is what is possible for you. It isn't any external measure - a certain cost to company pay package, a particular car or house.

Most of us are from middle class families. To us, having material landmarks is success and rightly so. When you have grown up where money constraints force everyday choices, financial freedom is a big achievement.

But it isn't the purpose of life. If that was the case, Mr Ambani would not show up for work. Shah Rukh Khan would stay at home and not dance anymore. Steve Jobs won't be working hard to make a better iPhone, as he sold Pixar for billions of dollars already. Why do they do it? What makes them come to work everyday?

They do it because it makes them happy. They do it because it makes them feel alive. Just getting better from current levels feels good. If you study hard, you can improve your rank. If you make an effort to interact with people, you will do better in interviews. If you practice, your cricket will get better. You may also know that you cannot become Tendulkar, yet. But you can get to the next level. Striving for that next level is important.

Very true Chetan. Earning money is not everything, it can't be the only purpose of life. Whatever may be our dream, everyone wants to be happy, and being happy is greater motivation than earning money also.             - Sourav

Nature designed with a random set of genes and circumstances in which we were born. To be happy, we have to accept it and make the most of nature's design. Are you? Goals will help you do that.

I must add, don't just have career or academic goals. Set goals to give you a balanced, successful life. I use the word balanced before successful. Balanced means ensuring your health, relationships, mental peace are all in good order.

Wish our schools and colleges understand these and include some curriculum to infuse this idea within every students.                                 - Sourav

There is no point of getting a promotion on the day of your breakup. There is no fun in driving a car if your back hurts. Shopping is not enjoyable if your mind is full of tensions.

You must have read some quotes - Life is a tough race, it is a marathon or whatever. No, from what I have seen so far, life is one of those races in nursery school. Where you have to run with a marble in a spoon kept in your mouth. If the marble falls, there is no point coming first. Same with life, where health and relationships are the marble. Your striving is only worth it if there is harmony in your life. Else, you may achieve the success, but this spark, this feeling of being excited and alive, will start to die.

One last thing about nurturing the spark - don't take life seriously. One of my yoga teachers used to make students laugh during classes. One student asked him if these jokes would take away something from the yoga practice. The teacher said - don't be serious, be sincere. This quote has defined my work ever since. Whether its my writing, my job, my relationships or any of my goals. I get thousands of opinions on my writing everyday. There is heaps of praise, there is intense criticism. If I take it all seriously, how will I write? Or rather, how will I live? Life is not to be taken seriously, as we are really temporary here. We are like a pre-paid card with limited validity. If we are lucky, we may last another 50 years. And 50 years is just 2,500 weekends. Do we really need to get so worked up? It's ok, bunk a few classes, goof up a few interviews, fall in love. We are people, not programmed devices.

I used to be a 'Too serious' guy, and had every academic achievement one student can have, but I was never happy, never satisfied. Always felt like a bird within a Golden Cage. But the day I started understanding what life is all about, I broke my cage and started flying...that's why Birds are born, to fly.                         -Sourav                                                                                My Related post: Never Give up your dreams even when your loved ones aren't co-operating

I've told you three things - reasonable goals, balance and not taking it too seriously that will nurture the spark. However, there are four storms in life that will threaten to completely put out the flame. These must be guarded against. These are disappointment, frustration, unfairness and loneliness of purpose.

Disappointment will come when your effort does not give you the expected return. If things don't go as planned or if you face failure. Failure is extremely difficult to handle, but those that do come out stronger. What did this failure teach me? is the question you will need to ask. You will feel miserable. You will want to quit, like I wanted to when nine publishers rejected my first book. Some IITians kill themselves over low grades – how silly is that? But that is how much failure can hurt you.

But it's life. If challenges could always be overcome, they would cease to be a challenge. And remember - if you are failing at something, that means you are at your limit or potential. And that's where you want to be.

Disappointment's cousin is frustration, the second storm. Have you ever been frustrated? It happens when things are stuck. This is especially relevant in India . From traffic jams to getting that job you deserve, sometimes things take so long that you don't know if you chose the right goal. After books, I set the goal of writing for Bollywood, as I thought they needed writers. I am called extremely lucky, but it took me five years to get close to a release.

Frustration saps excitement, and turns your initial energy into something negative, making you a bitter person. How did I deal with it? A realistic assessment of the time involved – movies take a long time to make even though they are watched quickly, seeking a certain enjoyment in the process rather than the end result – at least I was learning how to write scripts , having a side plan – I had my third book to write and even something as simple as pleasurable distractions in your life - friends, food, travel can help you overcome it. Remember, nothing is to be taken seriously. Frustration is a sign somewhere, you took it too seriously.

Unfairness - this is hardest to deal with, but unfortunately that is how our country works. People with connections, rich dads, beautiful faces, pedigree find it easier to make it – not just in Bollywood, but everywhere. And sometimes it is just plain luck. There are so few opportunities in India , so many stars need to be aligned for you to make it happen. Merit and hard work is not always linked to achievement in the short term, but the long term correlation is high, and ultimately things do work out. But realize, there will be some people luckier than you.

In fact, to have an opportunity to go to college and understand this speech in English means you are pretty darn lucky by Indian standards. Let's be grateful for what we have and get the strength to accept what we don't. I have so much love from my readers that other writers cannot even imagine it. However, I don't get literary praise. It's ok. I don't look like Aishwarya Rai, but I have two boys who I think are more beautiful than her. It's ok. Don't let unfairness kill your spark.

Finally, the last point that can kill your spark is isolation. As you grow older you will realize you are unique. When you are little, all kids want Ice cream and Spiderman. As you grow older to college, you still are a lot like your friends. But ten years later and you realize you are unique. What you want, what you believe in, what makes you feel, may be different from even the people closest to you. This can create conflict as your goals may not match with others. . And you may drop some of them. Basketball captains in college invariably stop playing basketball by the time they have their second child. They give up something that meant so much to them. They do it for their family. But in doing that, the spark dies. Never, ever make that compromise. Love yourself first, and then others.

I liked the above Paragraph most. I wish I could spread this message to every youth of this world. Many people gave up their dreams, gave up their spark to make someone happy, failing to understand it will make themselves unhappy, and how can you make someone else happy when you yourself is not happy??? I wish every human being specially parents be a little considerate and understanding about other's dream (child's dream). It may not be what they wanted from him/her. But that's okay. Everybody has their own destiny. So many talents are lost in this country due to this challenge. I will request every reader of my blog to inspire everybody to follow their heart.           -Sourav
There you go. I've told you the four thunderstorms - disappointment, frustration, unfairness and isolation. You cannot avoid them, as like the monsoon they will come into your life at regular intervals. You just need to keep the raincoat handy to not let the spark die.

I welcome you again to the most wonderful years of your life. If someone gave me the choice to go back in time, I will surely choose college. But I also hope that ten years later as well, you eyes will shine the same way as they do today. That you will Keep the Spark alive, not only through college, but through the next 2,500 weekends. And I hope not just you, but my whole country will keep that spark alive, as we really need it now more than any moment in history. And there is something cool about saying - I come from the land of a billion sparks.
Thank You.

How Twitter helps me to Live my Best Life

I was never a Social Networking Freak. Though I had my Orkut account long ago, but I used to check the scrap once a month. So when one day I found I became a Twitter Addict,  I was really surprised, so was my college friends. Because when I started using Twitter, none of my college (Bengal Engineering & Science University, Shibpur) had even heard of it. They found the simplicity of Twitter somehow strange & also boring. But to me it was like my latest Hobby. I first came to know about Twitter from Robin Sharma's site, as I am a big fan of Robin Sharma, I decided to follow wherever he was, so clicked on the Follow Me button and got myself registered. Little did I knew at that time, that this single decision is going to influence my life so much. After several months of using Twitter, today really I can say that Twitter helped me a lot to live the excellent life I am living today. How??? Let me tell you-

1. By asking always "What's happening?"

Twitter helped me most in Thinking positively & Productively. Whenever I logged in to Twitter (Which I do so often, through My Dell  or My N73) this basic question "What' happening?" made me check myself  What am I thinking right now or what I am doing right now?Is that in alignment with what I want out of my life? Really it worked like magic in my life. I started living my life in a way which I can share with the world proudly and also can inspire others to live their best life too!

2. By keeping me engaged

You must have heard of "Idol mind is Devil's Workshop". For me Twitter was always like a guard to protect my mind from being a Devil's Workshop. Whenever I had nothing to do, or whenever I was going through difficult times, Twitter kept my mind Engaged, and as I mostly like to share inspiring thoughts & quotes, whenever I use Twitter my mind automatically try to search words of wisdom and it helps me a lot to overcome any challenge, depression or tension I am going through.

3. By keeping me up-to-date with Real information

Really speaking I was never a GK guy, neither I used to read News Paper Regularly ( I know it's not good habit, trying to change). So whenever my friends or somebody else used to rise a latest topic for discussion, I used to feel uncomfortable. But thanks to Twitter and its Trending Topics, today I am up-to-date with whatever happening in the world Live! And I love it because Real People talk about these, not some news papers or news channels.

4. Inspiration at its best! Great Quotes & Great People (in Real)!

From the day I started taking interest in Personal Growth, I started reading Great Books of Wisdom, Learnt a lot of things, but to my great surprise I found great quotes being shared in Twitter. Truly speaking what I learnt from Twitter in such short time, was really amazing. Not only I learnt great quotes, I came to know about more great books also.

Most wonderful fact I noticed in Twitter that many great authors whose books I read, personally use Twitter like Robin Sharma, Jack Canfield, Paulo Coelho, Deepak Chopra, Stephen R. Covey and others. Twitter gave me a chance to follow the activities and thoughts of the Persons who are my idol.
Also got the opportunity to know many more inspiring people like Rev Run, Lolly Daskal Tamara LevittPatti DraglandJanine ShepherdLillyAnn, Amy Twain and lots more. Wish I could express my gratitude to these person for making me a better person everyday.

5. By Giving amazing friends!
In Orkut I used to keep in touch with my old school friends, only a few new friends. But that was just for occasional hi-hello. But the most amazing soul of twitter is Friendship...here I met some persons who became very good friend of mine in very short time.

Following are the people whom I follow using my personal account @souravghoshchat (Friends Only) Some of them are really good friends of mine, who make my day beautiful everyday! For the rest I will really love to be their friends, they are really great people to follow. (#FollowFriday to all of you)

Whatever I say about this person is less. Lucky are those who have mother...but I am luckiest to have two mothers...one who gave me birth and another is Maria who stands besides me in every situations like a friend, like a guide, like a support. Inspite of her busy schedule she never forget to write to me or care for me. Each and everyday she helps me to nurture the greatness within me. Sometimes my own parents didn't believed in my decisions or visions but Maria always had faith in me. She unbiasedly pointed out whenever I made a mistake, but not like typical parents, more like a friend. Her words always inspired me to live my best life!

So, it was my experience with Twitter...do you have anything to share like this?

Learn to Shut your mouth if you want others to listen to you

Photobucket
If you want to be good communicator, just talking skill is not enough, you have to be a good listener too! Strange thing is that from childhood we are taught 'how to read' and 'how to write' and lots of 'how to...' even 'how to write a blog' or 'how to write a tweet', but for an unknown reason we are never taught "how to listen"! But really speaking, effective listening is one of the most essential skill of communication, if not the most essential.

Someone said to me once "If you want to be successful in life, Learning is important, and for learning Listening is important" The person who listen more, not just learn more, but other people tend to listen to him/her more. why?

Imagine yourself having a conversation with someone, and if you see she is not listening to you, all she cares is saying whatever she has to say. Would you like to listen to her? Ofcourse not! So if you really want others to listen to you, first listen to them carefully.

In his revolutionary book 7 Habits of Highly Effective people, Stephen R. Covey written "Most people do not listen to understand, they listen with the intent of reply" so true!

According to him
"There are generally four levels of listening:                                                                                             We may be ignoring another person, not actually listening at all.                                         We may practice pretending, "Yeah. Uh-huh!Right!                                                                        We may practice selective listening, hearing only the certain part of the conversation.                or We may even practice Attentive Listening, paying attention and focusing energy on the words that are being said. But very few of us ever practice the fifth level, the highest form of listening, empathic listening! It means listening with the intent to understand. It gets inside another person't frame of reference. You look out through it, you see the world the way they see the world, you understand their paradigm, you understand how they feel. "
You will find the importance of Effective Listening in virtually every book written on Personal Growth. You will like following two articles by Robin Sharma on listening

Frankly speaking, like many Public Speaker I am also working on improving my listening skill, but the more I am listening to others, I am being surprised to see how fast my fan following is increasing. So what do you think, which of the above five levels you belong to as a listener?

Dare to Dream Big

"It's better to Dream Big and fail to achieve them than to dream small and achieve them!" Robert T. Kiyosaki.
When I first read this line in Business School by the above author, I took time to understand how important those lines are. Think in this way, when we were child and our parents wanted us to learn walking, what did they do? They showed us some chocolate, playing cars, or anything attractive to a child, and to have that in our hand we started trying to stand up and walk towards it. We fell and got up again and again and ultimately even if we couldn't reach the target, we learnt one of the most valuable lesson of life-WALKING!!!
So if we set Big Dreams and start doing whatever necessary to accomplish those dreams, we get to learn lots of important lessons of life. Sometimes these lessons are more important and valuable than the dream itself! But if we set small dream, we remain in comfort zone, and there is a very little scope of learning.
Another important reason one should dream big is, "If you shoot for the star, you may land up on the moon" Have you ever got 100 in exam when you prepared for it targeting 50? I guess no! How can God give you a Hayabusa when you have never dreamed beyond Bi-cycle?

If you had read The Secret by Rhonda Byrne (or watched the movie) you must know about Law of Attraction or LOA (you may know even if you haven't read the book, because LOA is buzzword online now-a-days!) which says "Whatever you think predominantly is going to manifest" So if you are thinking about your big dreams, it's going to manifest, and same is if you are thinking about your small dream. Universe says Your Wish is my Command. Do you want to regret later "Oh! I should had asked for bigger dreams!"

In this context I can remember Gitanjali no 50 by Rabindranath Tagore (read here)  One day a beggar met a king of all king while begging. To his utter surprise the King asked the beggar "What do you have to give me?" Being confused the beggar gave the King least little grain of corn  from his bag. But when the beggar returned home ...

But how great my surprise when at
the day's end I emptied my bag on the
floor to find a least little grain of gold
among the poor heap. I bitterly wept
and wished that I had had the heart
to dive thee my all.

I always remember this poem, and always dream biggest or give my best effort so that I don't have to regret tomorrow.

Oh! Yes! Can you tell me why the  title is "Dare to Dream Big" not "dream big" ? Because It needs great courage to dream big! When you start dreaming big, you start thinking out of the box, and may be the world make fun of you, discourage you, demotivate you and the most irony is sometimes your near and dear ones doesn't understand you.(Read Never Give up ur Dreams...even when ur loved ones aren't co-operating) So you have to be tough to protect your dreams.

Now it's your turn to tell the word that you are not afraid to dream big. Share your big dreams here. See you soon.

How can You be a Boxing Champion without being hit???

Is it possible to become a boxing champion without being hit? It's not! Then why do we expect to live life without all it's challenges? Why do we want to be successful walking on a smooth path? Shouldn't we be more mature about living our life or rather I should say living our best life?
A very few person can live peacefully because they become too much troubled facing life's challenges. They become depressed when they encounter failure, they become shattered when they encounter heartbreak. They got tensed when they got ill.
A simple question for all those people, how many people do you know who has everything good in life, who never faced any challenges or failures or heartbreaks? I doubt you can find a single person like that!
So what's the point in being troubled ? Take all these ups and downs as the necessary part of Life. Learn from nature-After every dark night, sun rises and the world become flooded with light. So day and night are obvious part of nature and so is good time and bad time in our life. The sooner we understand better peacefully we can live.
As written by Deepak Chopra in his book The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success practice Non-judgement! Stop interpreting events as good or bad, just experience it.
Remind yourself everyday "To be a champion of life I have to go through this, I will not let these difficult moment disturb my peace of mind, neither I will let any negativity or failure influence me to give up my dream"
Living Your Best Life is your birthright my friend.
