Dare to Dream Big

Share

"It's better to Dream Big and fail to achieve them than to dream small and achieve them!" Robert T. Kiyosaki.
When I first read this line in Business School by the above author, I took time to understand how important those lines are.

Think in this way, when we were child and our parents wanted us to learn walking, what did they do? They showed us some chocolate, playing cars, or anything attractive to a child, and to have that in our hand we started trying to stand up and walk towards it. We fell and got up again and again and ultimately even if we couldn't reach the target, we learnt one of the most valuable lesson of life-WALKING!!!
So if we set Big Dreams and start doing whatever necessary to accomplish those dreams, we get to learn lots of important lessons of life. Sometimes these lessons are more important and valuable than the dream itself! But if we set small dream, we remain in comfort zone, and there is a very little scope of learning.
Another important reason one should dream big is, "If you shoot for the star, you may land up on the moon" Have you ever got 100 in exam when you prepared for it targeting 50? I guess no! How can God give you a Hayabusa when you have never dreamed beyond Bi-cycle?

If you had read The Secret by Rhonda Byrne (or watched the movie) you must know about Law of Attraction or LOA (you may know even if you haven't read the book, because LOA is buzzword online now-a-days!) which says "Whatever you think predominantly is going to manifest" So if you are thinking about your big dreams, it's going to manifest, and same is if you are thinking about your small dream. Universe says Your Wish is my Command. Do you want to regret later "Oh! I should had asked for bigger dreams!"

In this context I can remember Gitanjali no 50 by Rabindranath Tagore (read here)  One day a beggar met a king of all king while begging. To his utter surprise the King asked the beggar "What do you have to give me?" Being confused the beggar gave the King least little grain of corn  from his bag. But when the beggar returned home ...

But how great my surprise when at
the day's end I emptied my bag on the
floor to find a least little grain of gold
among the poor heap. I bitterly wept
and wished that I had had the heart
to dive thee my all.
I always remember this poem, and always dream biggest or give my best effort so that I don't have to regret tomorrow.

Oh! Yes! Can you tell me why the  title is "Dare to Dream Big" not "dream big" ? Because It needs great courage to dream big! When you start dreaming big, you start thinking out of the box, and may be the world make fun of you, discourage you, demotivate you and the most irony is sometimes your near and dear ones doesn't understand you.(Read Never Give up ur Dreams...even when ur loved ones aren't co-operating) So you have to be tough to protect your dreams.

Now it's your turn to tell the word that you are not afraid to dream big. Share your big dreams here. See you soon.
